All 9 lbs, 6 ounces of her!

She was a hospital induction, which I almost backed out of - got to the hospital to start Cervadil Friday night, found out I was dilated to a 3, so I got lovely Pitocin instead.

She was born at 1:40 pm Saturday without a hitch (thank goodness) for her - she did have an interesting bruise on her forehead from her positioning (her head was facing opposite of how it was supposed to be - sunny side up) and bumping against my pelvic bone. I hemorraged pretty badly but didn't need a single stitch (woot!).

Nursing is going very well - we did have to get her blood sugar checked before each feeding at first, but she's all clear now. Big sister is OK with seeing the baby nurse and waited until my milk came in to nurse herself, without a struggle at all (thank goodness).

I feel so much better without almost ten pounds of baby pulling me down!
