DS is 7 weeks old and has had some baby acne since about 4 weeks. Lately, the spots are on his head and neck as well as his cheeks. Is this normal? Is it maybe something other than baby acne? It doesn't seem to bother him any, just makes him a little less photogenic. With us heading into summer I'm thinking it might a little bit of heat rash or something?

Thoughts?

DD son has it, too. Suggestions were to let the baby soak in water for at least 10 minutes a day. (She didn't bath him every day because she thought it might get worse.) And to use some natural lotion. I will find out the name and post it tomorrow. I can't call her now. She'll kill me :scrach Baby gets her up 4 times a night as it is. That would be suicide if I would get her up, too.

Anyway, she's had great results. He is almost rid of it. Eczema does run in her husband's family. He has a little bit of it here and there.

Does it run in your son's family?

Do you vaccinate your child? Just thought I'd ask because I've read that some vaccines also cause eczema.

http://www.*********/vaccines/asthma5.html

DD also had baby acne. I didn't do anything but keep the area clean if milk got on her face and it went away in a month or a little longer. No scars.

DS had baby acne and now I'm wondering if it was related to his eczema he developed later when we started solids. I'd recommend probiotics for both you and him based on our experience.
