My DD is 13 weeks, and she has babbled a bit, but today was crazy! She babbled sooooooooooo much....on & off (mostly on) all day long!! It really seemed as if she was trying to talk with us. We talk to her all the time, non stop, and today was just so interesting and exciting!

When did your babies start to communicate by babbling?

Your daughter is precious! My DD started babbling a lot more around that time too. Mostly vowels. As she got older she added in more and more consonants. Now there is lots of dadadada and ki-ki-ki and other fun things. Just wait for the attention-grabbing screeching as they start to explore their vocal range for the fun of it.

Oh man, isn't it just so cute! My little guy started making big "bwah bwah bwah" speeches when he was about 4 months old. It's adorable :

my ds (12 weeks) started babbling a few weeks ago-- I love it, he looks right at me, gives a few facial expressions, and says so many different sounds! They are mostly vowels, though he has an "ngy" that he adds or some "k" sounds. He is working on getting the giggle/laugh down, when I laugh at something he did that was cute I can see him really trying to figure out how to make that sound. Right now he makes a sort of uh uh uh uh

11 week DS has been babbling for a few weeks, too, though lately it has picked up quite a bit.

My heart melts when I sit here nursing him and he pops off to look at me and tell me his stories: "ooaahhOOOH".

My 12 week old ds has been doing this for a while, too, and he's starting to add a lot more sounds in. It is SO cute! I am going to have to get some clips recorded of it with my camera soon. He wakes me up every morning talking to me. I guess he's telling me about his good dreams.
