i'm just 32 weeks and it really feels like katie has taken up residence in my pelvis. i'm visibly different from the outside too, yesterday i carried high and today, it's like she's gone south for the winter! REALLY uncomfortable here. i know it's something that generally happens shortly before birth.. at 38 weeks your fundus is higher than it is at 40.. but i'm only 32! what's up with that?

it sure makes the contractions more painful.. they're just braxton hicks, i've had them pretty regularly since 25 weeks, but now it's like i'm trying to drop a bowling ball down through my cervix every time. i'm really hobbling along since my pelvis is also very loose.. sigh. i didn't expect any of this to happen so soon.

should i be worried? i can't see my doc til next wednesday.

I'm almost 33 weeks and this week my obgyn mentioned after having felt my belly that the 'baby hadn't dropped yet, but that it will happen soon'. Seems you're on the early side of the spectrum (if indeed your baby has dropped already and it's not just the increasing weight - I am already much more uncomfortable, even without the dropping) but not too early.

Bowling ball sounds just what I am carrying around...

i'm definitely not suffering from increased weight.. i was obese to begin with and i'm officially about 5 lbs higher than my pre-preg. the difference in sensation is quite dramatic.. i'm glad it's nothing to worry about though!

I just meant the baby's weight :) I can tell from his movements he's grown so much bigger just over the past 1-2 weeks!

oh.. er.. yeah that makes more sense :) mommy brain not always following the sensible train of thought ;) i can't tell how much she's grown, but she was measuring ahead weeks ago already, so she's probably getting heavy by now :) well, relatively speaking..

My little guy has definitely dropped. I don't take photos every week, but the first photo is from Halloween, and the 2nd is from this week (33 weeks). Big difference!

Yeah, I'm working on it, too. I think he "halfway dropped". He's been very high and breech from literally Day 1, but about a week and a half ago, he went from breech right under my ribs, to what I think is transverse across my bellybutton, a very uncomfortable feeling, let me tell you! I'm hoping he flips head down and drops a little more in the next coming weeks, however, it's sometimes so uncomfortable, I'm not sure if the pain is his movements or Braxton-Hicks!

Only first thing in the morning. The other day I got up and DH's eyes got really wide and he goes, "Is he lower?!?" I put my hand down and realized I could breathe :lol

It wasn't long before he migrated back up. I'll be 33 weeks this weekend.
