I have a coffee grinder i use for grinding grains, legums, and seeds but want a small blender or something for fruits and veggies. i used to have a small food processor that i used for ds1 but it broke. i have a huge food processor that is just too big and a blender which i also find to be too big. so far i have seen:

the magic bullet
Tribest® Personal Blen
PORTABLE, MANUAL BabySteps Food Mill from KIDCO®

any suggestions?
what do you use?

I was at a time where I wanted to replace several gadgets with one system so I went with

Braun MR5550MBC Impressions Multiquick Handblender

at amazon.com

Couldn't be happier with it and the tiny blender was perfect for baby food, salad dressings and other "small quantity" things.

HTH!

i have the qvc version of the bullet and it is pretty good so far, but i haven't done too much yet, just carrots. the tribest blender seems nice because you can use mason jars instead of plastic so if that is a big concern, I would go with that one.
Also, I have had the kid mill one before and didn't really like it, the grinder ring comes off pretty easily. I
gave mine away, it was a pain.

We had a portable, manual food mill--I think the brand name was Happy Baby--and we loved it! Not only could we make baby food at home, but we could use it in restaurants and at other people's houses. It was easy to clean and almost impossible to cut yourself on.

We got a Magic Bullet for Christmas, and I'm underwhelmed. You have to pulse it; if you run it for more than a few seconds at a time, it overheats and won't work for several minutes. It almost always takes longer than I expect to get something really ground up, and it almost always does a very uneven job despite my best efforts shaking the cup. And it's really loud.
