We need a baby gate to block off the opening to our living room. The space is 6' wide.

We're looking for a gate we can install that mounts to the wall, has a walk through section (not the whole 6' swinging open) AND doesn't have a "break the toes" bar that stays in place when you open the walk through component.

Any solutions?

Not even close, but clearly shows the toe breaking problem

I love ours! We can take it down easily also and leave the mounted peices on the wall when company comes, or like with us our first ds did not need it, but we did not take off the wall in anticipation of our newly arrived little guy!
It also is a pretty light wood, and not ungodly expensive.

We have the Superyard system (linked above) and it's FABULOUS. I love it so much. It is kept spread open as a barrier to the TV/fan/equipment. It's expensive though and doesn't attach to the wall. I bought some stationary gates on sale a TJMaxx and they are terrible...we hate them so much. Here's a link...DO NOT GET THIS GATE! http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...692729-0919966
