Will type full story later...but long and short of it...

Things did not quite go as planned. I ended up transferring to the hospital in the ambulance. But labor was 1.5 hours from start to birth. And born 5 mins after getting onto the L&D floor/room from the ambulance.

VBAC 5/14/10 @ 8:45 am
Weight 11 lbs 1 oz (that is correct)
Height 21 1/2 inches

I will do a full birth story later.

Fully story, but it is disjointed..

I had an early dinner last night, since DS1 had karate. Got home had a snack and went to bed.

I woke up this morning about 6:30 to pee and my back was hurting. I figured it was just the baby trying to press down, and that a hot bath would help relieve the back ache. Also, when I wiped I noticed some very light pink, just to the point I thought it was my imagination. Didn't think anything else, as I had that happen a few times...
About 7:15 I started feeling contractions and was doing fine with them. About 7:30 DH was timing them, and they were all over the place, and getting a bit painful, but were relieved by just a slight bearing down (almost like I needed to pass gas). I couldn't pee again for the life of me. I was all over the place - pacing the bathroom; leaning over the potty; hands and knees (which hurt like heck), bath tub of water...I finally was so hot I couldn't deal with it, and had DH bring me a fan, and I took cold showers.
About 8:00, I couldn't take it any longer. My contractions were just the pelvic bone area down, and at the pelvic bone area, it was a sharp burning/stabbing like pain running across the uterus. We called the OB, and after 20 minutes of it getting worse, no call back, so we called again. I was starting to fear that the baby had either turned breach and was being pushed down back against the pubic bone and catching scar tissue as well, or that I had ruptured. It wasn't any contraction pain that I had before, the sharp pain going across the area about where my scar would be, is what scared me.
DH tried calling a couple of friends, but couldn't get a hold of anyone. Fearing the worst, that I needed a c/s because of breach or rupture because of how the pain was, and my instincts telling me something was not right, I yelled at him to just call 911. I threw a night shirt on, and wrapped a towel around my legs, and went outside to wait for them and my shoes I use for taking the dog out.
I couldn't hardly walk or move on my own I was hurting so bad. Instead of putting me on the cart, they had me in the chair for the whole 2-3 minute ambulance ride (I live like 1500 yards from the hospital they took me to). DH tried to get them to take me where my OBs have privs, but they refused because of how much pain I was in and fear of me being a VBAC or high risk. I had to physically move myself from the chair to the cart when we got to the hospital.
While in the ambulance, I kept telling the EMT that the baby was coming, I could feel the head hitting the cervix at this point, and that I had to push. She tried pushing my legs together to prevent the pushing, but it just hurt like ***L, and I told her to stop because it was making it worse and more painful to not push when she did that. They did break me open an ice pack because I was getting so hot. I felt the head doing this the whole time, including the run through the hospital, and up the elevator that some jack*** had to hit every floor button on before we got on, so we stopped at like 5 or 6 floors before getting to L&D.
They then rushed me back to a room, I had to move myself from the cart to the bed..I just rolled, it was all I could do. Then they wanted me on my back..so I had to pull myself into the center of the bed to roll onto my back...then they looked and I was crowning. I know somewhere in all of this trip I just yelled knock me out and take the baby out, because I thought I was going to end up w/ a c/s because of transverse of rupture...
I was crowning, bag of waters was still intact, when I thought I had ruptured at home (so I must have peed myself). They ruptured them, even though I asked them not to because I couldn't handle any more pain. The one thing is, once I knew I was crowing, I was able to scream and push. I wasn't listening to their directed pushing though. They kept telling me to push, and I just told them I wasn't have a contraction or urge to push, which it hit right after that..so I did.
I pushed about 5 or 6 times, and the entire baby came out in the last push...head and body. I was delivered by a resident, with the assistance of at least one of the EMTs and a wonderful nurse.
I never felt the ring of fire with this baby. I felt pain when pushing, and I kept feeling baby slip back in between pushes. And boy did I scream when I pushed...but I had good control over it.
Hindsight, I feel dumb for calling 911 and going by ambulance. But at the time, the pain just didn't feel right and I couldn't get through the pain the way it was. I also knew I couldn't make it much longer, that the fear of having ruptured was starting to set it. But looking back, what was probably happening was Mr. Bighead was trying to push through the area of the uterus where my scar was and hitting it. He has a perfectly round head, like a baby who had a c/s would - absolutely no molding or conehead look.
I am sad I didn't get to birth at home, and even sadder DH wasn't able to be here for it. He was still waiting for someone to pick up DS1 for school and then pack the others up to come here.

I am fine with how things went down. The only thing I didn't get was the home birth, and when you read the story you will understand.
