That was soooo cute. I'm glad I got to see it. We love moose around here.

So cute! My heart started thumping in excitement when the mama moose came into the frame too! About to move into moose country, and can't wait...

The filmmaker should have made a comment on the bottom that they stood behind a window to film (if they did).. proximity to live moose is deadly- ESPECIALLY mama moose.

I hate when dangerous animals are portrayed as cute and cuddly with no cautions. Moose are dangerous. They can kick and stomp a person to death and have.

You would think everyone would know that wild animals are dangerous and should be filmed with caution. But then again, some people do not use common sense (think "storm chasers").

So, yeah, a disclaimer stating not to try this or something should probably have been added.

But, they really were so cute (and thus, that is the danger).

Yeah, a disclaimer would have been nice. However, I don't think that "cute" and "dangerous" are mutually exclusive. I'm in bear and mountain lion country and I consider both cute (cuddly? No.) while knowing how dangerous they are. But I see where you're coming from. I bristle when I hear a parent say "look at the cute kitty cats! Nice kitty cats!" when looking at the lions in the zoo with their young children.

Actually one of the killings that happened in my town due to moose wasn't because of lack of common sense.. the man was elderly and had cataracts. He was walking to the university gym for his regular exercise. The moose felt cornered (again, mama moose) and trampled him.

I remembered seeing the photos in the paper, I didn't realize that someone got it on film- but there WERE university security in the area at the time, so this might be from their car cameras.. it happened pretty quickly. Don't watch it if you are disturbed by that kind of thing. It isn't BLOODY or anything, but I posted it because the attack happened very quickly and the man was totally caught off guard. (which is what the film shows).
http://www.metacafe.com/watch/1416/moosetusr/

Agreed. In our house we see moose ALL THE TIME. They wander in our neighborhood, and hang out in the park. We have had to teach our kids about watching moose from the windows only, and to be on the lookout for them.. in the parking lot at the grocery store, while building snowmen, etc etc.

Warnings here are sent home in fliers from my kids' schools because they are on school grounds all the time.

This was just meant to show how sweet the mama is with the babies and how cute they are playing in the water. I'm sure that human mama's know to keep their children away from danger...we have instincts too. I wasn't expecting negative comments to appear.
