My first son was posterior. I believe he was that way almost my entire oregnancy. Whenever I went in and had my appt the ob would say baby is on his back because the hb was in the backgroud....I could tell it anyway.....

Anyway, I'm pretty sure that this babe is face down.

When my ds would move I felt it all out front and my belly was constantly moving and poking out. I never felt him in my bladder, cervix, rib cage...none of that. I'm 21 weeks and this kid is KILLING my bladder and cervix!! Could it be because my son was face up and this one is face down?

Does it all really feel that different??

Yep!

Same experience here. My son was *always* posterior throughout my entire pregnancy, only I didn't know that could be a bad thing. If I had known that by correct positioning and certain techniques I could help him turn prior to labor, I would have probably not needed a csection. I always felt his knees rolling across my stomach, never anything down low. They had a hard time getting his heartbeat at appts too because it was at my back.

This time, however, I began working to make sure my baby was anterior at about 20 weeks. I feel all of her movement on my right side (feet/knees) and down low in my cervix and bladder area (hands/head). Plus, I can always feel her bottom on the left side of my stomach and her hiccups there as well. She's always been LOA and I'm so happy!!

But I hear you on the pain
it can be really painful down there! Definitely a much different experience for me this time.

I can't tell from what I'm feeling where the baby is. I feel some big movements up at the top, but not much at the bottom. Although usually when I feel some movement up at the top on the left side, I feel a little something simultaneously on the bottom right. I don't even know if the baby is breech or not.

Dd was posterior too. I felt knees all the time by my ribs and I couldn't figure out what that was because my mw told me she was feeling a bottom where I felt knees. I thought she was really limber. When she was born I figured out the problem. This time it's far too early to tell. I'll know what to look for though.

I had 3 posterior babies. All of them sunny side up.

This one is posterior too, so far, but I'm sensing she's turned abit toward the right. I'm feeling more stuff in the side, not as much out front.

Little monkeys turn and flip... at least she's not breech.

I feel a lot of hands-n-feet in the front...usually on the left. This baby seems right now to be in a diagonal position of some kind.

My ds was posterior...I am hoping and praying for a faster and less painful experience this time!
