I've become a real fan of Peggy O'Mara's book, "Having a baby naturally" and I've made her "baby nog" recipe several times. At the moment I drink one about every other day. It includes a raw egg in the ingredients....which seems a bit odd since that's generally considered a no no among pregnant women. I still include it though, and have started getting my eggs from a local organic farm.
Does anyone else drink this?

Well, I'm pretty comfortable using the organic eggs from the local farm, i mean, I can actually see the chickens when I buy them!! I also test the egg for cracks by putting it in a glass of water beforehand, So personally I have no worries, but it's just one of those things you don't kind of advertise you're doing because people will think you have a death wish for your baby, and since it was suggested in the book, I thought I might run into other mums who were drinking it!!!

Basicly the recipe is:

1 cup of milk (soy or rice if you prefere)
1 raw egg
1 tablespoon of yeast flakes
1 tablespoon on honey
1 tablespoon of black strap molasses (you can work your way up to that amount)

Blend it together until frothy and serve it in a chilled glass.

It's basicly just an overal nourishing thing, lots of iron, lots of B vitamines....very refreshing and energizing. I think the recipe might even be in the recipe section of the webiste.
