I'm trying to find comfortable ways to wear my baby on my back in my Kozy Carrier. I had him in it today and he was happy as could be, but he kept pulling my hair. I have long hair, so I pulled it up in a really high ponytail and pulled it through part way a second time (like a ponytail folded in half). He was playing with the hair at the bottom though, and started pulling it out of the ponytail. At one point, he grabbed a little fistful and pulled it out. Ouch!

What can I do? I want to wear him on my back. I like having my hair attached to my head too though!

DD did this too. I think I tried to wear her a little lower and have something available to hand her. It did end really quickly though. Hoping your little one finds something more interesting to play with soon.

My LO does this too. Sometimes it helps if I have a scarf tied around my head (especially to cover the little hairs at the back of my neck) and my hair is put up high.

Good luck!

my dh coined this hairstyle the granny bun but it's too high for ds to grab it.

twist a pony tail into a bun and then secure it with a big scrunchy.
make sure it's kinda high...think sumo wrestler's bun (i know...so not purdy)

hth.

Or you can go 80's with the side pony

I hear your pain! I carry the babies I care for during the day in my Ergo on my back. Each are pretty large for their age and have very long arms. It doesn't matter how I wear my hair, they reach right up for the little ones underneath and yank! OUCH!!
I started attaching a couple of little wooden rings to the strap so they hang right below my neck and to the side. Attached to them are random toys each babe loves. It was a success today, but I ma sure it won't last. My hair is just a magnet for little fingers.

Yeah, unfortunately it seems that the ideal BW hairstyle is shaved bald!
: Even with short hair, those little neck hairs are SO exquisitely painful when pulled out.

If you get one of those nylon straps with two sets of snaps on the end that are sold for attaching toys to strollers, those are great for attaching to a carrier with a toy on the end to give your dc something to play with to distract from the hair without having to pick up a dropped/thrown toy every 5 seconds.

ohhh the little neck hairs. those HURT. Yeah DS plays with mine while on my back. The goal seems to be to eat the hair, actually. I put it up in a clip but those little neck hairs are still an issue. I saw at the LLL conference these nursing necklaces that are all cotton and at first I didnt think much of them, but now I am thinking they might be perfect b/c even if the baby is pulling on it and chewing on it you probably wouldnt be as choked as you would be w/ a real necklace. Let me see if I can find info on those.
