My mom had my baby shower yesterday and it was sooo nice! I saw my great aunt that I haven't seen since I was a toddler, lots of cousins that I haven't seen in forever! It is always so nice to get the 'extended' family down! I also got some really nice presents! I am so grateful that everyone was so generous! This little man has quite a room full of presents! I was so touched. I have to pick up some thank-you cards!

Thought I'd tell you guys! DH is tired of me talking about who was there and how lucky this baby is!

and the MIL gave me this little purple cat that was DHes lovie when he was little. DH was soooo embarrassed to see it! I thought the whole situation was just too cute!

I love hearing about all the gifts people get for baby showers. They are so fun. And that is awesome your family was able to all get together. I know sometimes it seems our family only gets together if there is a funeral or something sad. So, a baby shower is a wonderful thing to all celebrate over. Sounds like your little Sirius is going to have lots of love!

Sweet! Glad you had a good time. And that lovie sounds just adorable. My DS has a comforter that my DH had as a child. Its kinda stained and ratty and it has ballarina kittens on it (

) but its really sentimental!

Aww, yay! How nice to see extended family huh? I had my baby shower yesterday too,and came home feeling the same way - just blessed and lucky and happy. My younger sister and her fiance got us some incredible gifts, I couldn't believe it! She couldn't be there, but I guess she and my mom had been sending a baby book back and forth so they could scrapbook together!

My family is so happy and supportive and excited... what a wonderful feeling! This baby will be so loved

he now officially has more clothing then the Olsen twins, a really pimp jogging stroller with a pedometer! (I'm a workout nut when I'm not pregnant) basic stuff that I managed to overlook like baby nail clippers and socks!

I can't remember the last time I wore socks, but baby's feet may get cold! Things like a bath tub, one of those mats with the cloth butterflies that hang off the top, so you can lay baby on it for tummy time without laying him in a pile of dog hair. Some hand made blankets and barf rags from my great aunt. Its all just sitting in the nursery right now. We still need to steam clean the floor from when it was the office and my dad hasn't dropped the crib off yet. He'll probably swing by on the way to visit his grandson in the hospital. I'll just have to take a note to the wall where I want it to go!
