I'm expecting my first winter baby. Baby will be 5 to 8 weeks old when Christmas comes. I'm doing my shopping NOW, as I won't want to after baby is born(no kidding, eh?) But I'm at loss what to get! My other kids were older and were born several months before Christmas, so I had time to get to know them.... This is different. I know baby couldn't care less, but I DO. I do have a knottie doll coming for baby. But other than that? I'd like a couple more things under the tree....

Please ideas???

clothes? maybe a special blanket, a couple bright colored toys? I am at a loss for that, my cousins son was the closet christmas baby our family has, he was born in Oct. I got him a teddy bear with the year on it, I think it was baby's first xmas on it.

I'm in the same boat! Baby is due Nov. 21, she'll be too small to understand what's going on, or to care, but I care. I've bought her some clothes so far, and that's it. I want to get her a special teddy bear or doll or something, maybe a couple of rattles or other small bright colored toy. Other than that, I'm at a loss. I'm done shopping for my other two, it's the baby that has me stumped.

I got my Christmas baby (Dec. 3 - was supposed to be Dec. 24th) a mobile mobile (not a typo - it was for her carseat

) and Christmas Pajamas (a tradition in our family) Other thatn that I just got her whatever she needed.

I am not really big into having tohave somehting under the tree. Perhaps you could make her somehting special that will be dear to her as she grows. A special blanket, a special doll or keepsake box.

Zane was born 12/16 and I don't think we got him much, maybe some clothes, but the one special thing I did get him was a XMas ornament that said baby's first xmas and had places to put pictures of baby in it and personalize it with his name. I love it!
