When you mix, say 2 oz of formula, does that mean 2 oz water plus the powder, or powder first and add water until it hits 2 oz?<br><br>
Thanks!

It's been a whiel since my babysitting days, but I think it's 2 oz water, then add the powder. If you add powder first you'll have a mess.

I have no idea, but it seems like such a small amount to fret over. I'm sure it won't injur your baby eitherway especially if it's just this once...maybe ere on the side of caution and do whichever way uses less formula??

I always did the water first, otherwise it seemed really thick, I thinned mine out anyway though when I absolutely had to use it....can you mix that with EBM? That will also help with consistency to make it more like BM, if you wanted!

2 oz of water first, then one scoop of formula to make 2oz. 2 oz? Seems like such a little amount! <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol">

Yep 2 oz of water, then scoop the amt for 2 oz. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/thumb.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="thumbs up">:<br><br>
When my ds was on formula I'd milk an 8 oz bottle and pour smaller amounts into other bottles. I'd also try to keep a few bottles in the fridge. It is good in there for 24 hours.
