I am not with the white father of my biracial daughter and we have different extended family situations for babysitting. I grew up with my parents so I know it's safe for my daughter to stay there. I'm concerned because the father's parents (the paternal Grandparents) have (1) a big house, (2) an ungated pool, (3) and the father's stepfather is relatively new to the family. My family will not expose my daughter to inappropriate games as well. For example, his mother gave her grandson a ipod plus where he downloaded hardcore porn. I have no say in what my daughter is exposed to in their house in terms of violent video games, etc.

So, the father wants to bring my daughter to the OC from LA to stay there, but I do not feel comfortable with not knowing the stepfather. Nor, is it realistic that I will ever really know him since he didn't raise me. Now, the father obviously has the right to let the grandmother in her life so I requested that they come here to L.A. to visit so that she's not alone with God knows who. The statistics for child molestation, 1 in 4 for girls, is so high I do not want to take a chance. She is only 2 and not ready to understand about sexual abuse. Nor, do I feel the need to put fear in her life at this point. But, her father constantly pushes the issue in letting her spend time down there. I ask that they meet at least in the OC Great Park or the Aquarium so I can make sure he doesn't leave her alone, but he keeps insisting. Do I have any legal rights in this matter? On a side note, I get fishy feeling from this stepfather to top it all off.
