I have been wear my lo in a ringsling pretty much from day one. The only way she's ever happy is a tummy to tummy carry. Fast forward a few months and she is getting a little to long for that one. Here is my issue, I am a larger lady not huge but defiantly not skinny, like a size 16. I feel like I am going to pop her little legs out of her sockets if I wrap them around my waist. SO what do you do about that, if anything. Also, I cloth diaper and I just feel like she doesn't get great range of motion with the prefolds that we use. When I try to wear her facing out I just feel like I can’t get her legs higher than her butt because of the diaper and she just don’t seem comfortable. Ok, she doesn’t cry or anything I just don’t think she can be comfy. Am I doing something wrong there? I also have a moby wrap, but once again, I just can't wrap her legs around me. When I try she always ends up with her little legs laying against me in a froggy pose, feet sticking out of moby and all, kwim? All videos and instructions say wrap legs around, what do you do if you can't? Any advice will be great. TIA.

Do you think a mei tai carrier would help? Her legs wouldn't have to be around you then. As for range of motion, she's probably fine. I sometimes wonder if DD is comfy or too constricted w/ the cloth diapers and babywearing. But she still manages to stick her foot in my face when she's nursing, so I'm guessing things are really fine. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol">

Have you tried a hip carry? Or a modified half hip/half front carry? Her legs don't need to wrap all the way around you exactly, just to not be sticking straight down, if that makes any sense.
