Hello again to those I know here, and 'how do you do?' to those whom I do not Okay, I desperately need help here...DD has been using sposies (postpartum issues-please no flames), and when I am able to, I use cloth. Lately, she's had a bit of an upset stomach, but now she has sores and rash! I have tried everything, from the medicated ointment the doctor prefers, to store bought stuff. She cries and screams everytime she goes. I change her constantly, and bathe her after she has a bm, since I am afraid of this rash getting worse. I let her air dry, then I carefully apply the cream. I have been putting her old fleece liners to keep her dry. These were scrap bag liners, so no need to worry about repelling afterwards. She seemed very comfy in an old Fuzzi, but I only have one, and money's been tight for me. I am carefully researching buying either a few Fuzzis or Bum Genius, as I cannot afford to make mistakes on these. Ahhh, the days when I was able to hunt... Any advice as to what I can use for her rash? And, does anyone know of any affordable pockets that will work...I am talking affordable. I can sew, but I do not have the attention span nor the ability to sew right now. TIA= Sonia

I know that Lucys Hope Chest has a package deal for solid PUL AI2's - I know, not pockets but they're microfleece or velour topped. They're around $40 for 3 dipes, or you can get a half dozen from $70 to $90 (small to large prices vary). That's probably about the cheapest I've ever seen. I'm sorry you're having a rough time and I hope your little girl starts feeling better. (((hugs)))

If she's had an upset stomach, you might want to have her checked for a candida imbalance. This is the yeast that causes thrush. My daughter had a bad rash that wouldn't go away, no signs of thrush in her mouth, but doctor (and a lady from church, too) said it was candida and to use an anti-fungal cream (Monistat or Lotriman, or similar). You might want to try that. Thrush can also cause an upset stomach. If it is thrush, even if she's not showing signs in her mouth, you might also want to treat her with Gentian Violet. It is all natural, though it does stain the skin for a couple of days.

Aside from that, Ebay for discount diapers. Or Google for specific diapers (ex "used fuzzi bunz") I know I saw some somewhere recently. I will have a quick look around again if I can. I also know that Little Beetle (betterforbabies.com) is having a clearance sale on their old sizing. I have a few of their hemp diapers and several wool covers and I love them. Just ordered some diapers there myself and the old sizing was only $13.41 per diaper.

Good luck!

Oh, quick thought. Craigslist. There is one for every state and area. It's a sort of online classifieds. I just sold a ton of diapers on there my daughter just outgrew.

http://www.lilbunz.com/store/WsDefault.asp?Cat=GentlyUsed
http://www.breesbums.com/index.php/action/item/id/189/prevaction/pricelist/

Those are just a couple of places I saw real quick when I googled.
