I've had my baby names picked out for a long time, but now that I'm actually prego (with twins) I'm having new ideas. My original names were:

Clarke Lee
Clara Lee

But now I'm thinking:

Luke Lee
Lucille (Lucy) Lee

The middle name for the girl is after my middle name that is passed down to the first born daughter, and the Lee for the boy is after my husbands first name. Of course right now I'm not sure that I'm having b/g twins, but that's what I want! lol

I'm in love with 'c' names, my name starts with 'c', but I'm willing to consider my husbands letter too. If we had two boys I originally wanted Cade & Cale or Conlin & Caeden, but my husband hates any form of Cade so I'm pretty much screwed for two boy names. For two girls I had Cadence & Constance or Corrinne & Caelyn, my husband going for the later of the two.

My husband likes Luke better than Clarke, so he's leaning more towards the second set of names. But, I haven't even told him that I'm considering these other set of names! lol.

What do you think? Please don't be like my step mom and say "That sounds like a porn star name" and ruin it for me. (We had originally tossed around the name Lana Lee)

Well, I'm a little biased, because Clarke was on our "long list." I really like the first set better. Something about the transition from K to L in "Luke Lee" is difficult. Maybe Lucas Lee would jive a little better, and I do love the name Lucy.

I love the name Clara. AND Clarke. They sound great together, and are solid names, classic names. Luke and Lucy are kinda trendy to me, but they are also nice.
Would you pronounce Clara with a short "a" or long "a"?

Congratulations, I don't think I knew you were having twins! Any who, individually, I think they're all beautiful names but in those sibsets they sound quite twinny.

My vote would be for Clarke & Lucy or Clara & Luke!

I think our compromise would be for boys. Maybe: Clarke & Luke

Even if we weren't having twins I would want to name sibs Clarke & Clara ... so it would probably sound twinny anyway. I'm weird, I know.

I try to avoid giving siblings names with the same first letter. But if that is something you are set on, I like the C combo best.

I don't really like the name Clarke, but of course that's my personal opinion.
I think both Lucy and Clara are beautiful names. I like Luke, too.

Ok, the way I count it, we have

4 for Clarke & Clara,
4 for mixing it up, and
1 for Luke & Lucy

lol .... I don't know where this is going to take me! I think this just got me in deeper with dh! lol

I think Clarke, Clara, Luke, and Lucille are fine, although "Luke Lee" sounds a bit matchy "lukely"?). I agree with your husband about Cade and I also don't like Cale. I mean I like the leafy green, but not the name. Caelyn is the name of like every kid on the planet right now so I would steer clear of that one. Constance and Corrinne are nice.

ITA and I love Clarke and Lucy But I would use Lucas instead if just Luke But I almost named Ds Lucas

But if it was just our of your list I would use..... Lucille and Luke

I also think that Lucille Lee and Luke Lee flow just fine also it is a middle name I personally feel that they do not need to flow if they have a family meaning I did not care if Ds's middle name flowed it was my grandfathers name it has meaning that is what matters some people look at me odd when I say it but Ds actually likes it because he knows he has his name
My point is it has meaning do what feels right If I cared about flowing he would have a name with out as much meaning as he does he has my great uncles first name and my grandfathers name for his middle and he knows this and even though he is five he is proud about it and tells people

or luke lee and lucille lee .... at all

but mixed up with either clarke lee + lucille lee
or luke lee + clara lee .....beautiful!

(a little hesitant on the luke lee and lucille lee alliteration... is there another middle name that could go here?)

I'm a fan of Cade (I might be partial since that is what we named our ds).

But I like Clara and luke. I don't really like Lucille Lee, it just seems like a mouth full (bordering on "Lucy" but with extra, unexpected syllables if that makes any sense.)

Honestly...I wouldn't worry to much about what anyone thinks. Just choose names that you like and think LONG and hard about them! I can't imagine calling Cade by any other name!

you know my aunt and uncle had names that start with "D" and named all three children with the first letter "D" and my oldest married a man with the first letter "D" but they ended the theme buy nameing their children with different letters
