I can't seem to find a recipe for how to bake tofu just as a block (like I buy baked tofu from the store) and not as strips or chunks.

Can I just throw it in the oven on low for a few hours? What do you think?

I already do it in strips and like that just fine, but really wanted to try to make the block myself.

The closest thing I can think of is this recipe. It has you baking the tofu cut into fourths.
I usually cut it in small chunks, but it might work for a whole block of tofu.
http://www.foodreference.com/html/to...n-roasted.html

It'll at least give you an idea. hth!
