My 2.5 year old intact son is just potty learned, so I am seeing him pee for the first time. His foreskin "balloons" when he starts peeing. Is this normal?
Completely normal. There is a recent study showing that this is not related to backpressure and reflux. Don't worry about it. Worry about the Dr. who thinks it's abnormal.
Thank you! hat article was informative too - good to know that ballooning actually means he's developing normally. He's my first boy - and the only intact one in the family. We're having another boy this spring - and he'll be intact too - just didn't want my DH to have any ammunition against keeping our new bay intact.
LOL - I don't think he notices that yet. but sometimes I think he's going to pop open - especially in the morning when he first wakes up - he really has to pee and the foreskin is nearly twice as big until he goes! LOL
Well, my boy must be advanced because he just turned 2 and he's been ballooning (with great giggling and pointing) for a few months now. Actually longer probably since I (and he) have only noticed since he's been sitting on the toilet
