At the IParty store in Weymouth, MAss they stopped a woman from nursing her 8 week old baby. I just saw it on the 11pm news. Insanity!

i ddint hear about it being in maine.. but sounds like a highly ignorant empoyee.. not necesarily a thing to ban the whole chain... i'ev nursed while browsing in a couple iparties up here..<br><br>
certainly e-mailing and complaining would be n EXCELLANT plan and INSIST on that employee getting serious training but all probably should get a little about having a clue.

LOL, banning is a bit harsh...but I was soooooooooo tired and emotional last night, and it just pissed me off so much. She was just sitting in an aisle, the store apparently was empty, and she fed her child. I guess IParty isssued an apology, but still, they need to know how wrong they were.<br><br>
The only good thing about this is that the news team interviewed the couple at home and showed her breastfeeding and just how discreet she was...it was on the 11 o'clock news. Now that's cool! I guess any publicity surrounding this issue to bring it to the forefront is a good thing.<br><br><img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile">
