Joe has been a poop monster, pooping all the time, I change him every 1-2 hours and he is poopy at every change (I change him sooner if he poops again, which sometimes he does) I know most of this is due to teething, which means more acidic poops, and he is drinking some juice now too, which also means more acid. SO he is getting a little red bum, not too bad, but I want to stop it BEFORE it gets to the point it is painful! What is the best stuff for everyday kind of cream at this point, but also helps rashes? My mom used to use vasilene on us, and she got it out the other day I almost fainted, I told her in no way shape or form is she ever to put petrolium on my baby! LOL (she looked at me like I had three heads LOL) Anyway any NON petrolium based stuff out there that I can get? Preferably with QUICK shipping!?

You can buy Autumn Harp unpetroleum jelly from Borntolove.com.<br><br>
I used to use Vaseline way back when but don't anymore. I like Earth Friendly Baby Calendula cream, plain old cornstarch or a little A&D ointment depending on my mood.<br><br>
Burts has zinc oxide and it left a buildup on my dipes.

I really love Burt's Bees diaper ointment. It smells good, works great and washes out of CDs! <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/thumb.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="thumbs up">

We use the Baby Bee ointment and sometimes the dusting powder. I've also used Aquaphor healing ointment. Never had a problem with either in CDs.

Burts bees is nice but since I thought the smell of lavender was just too strong (but I am not a big fan of that scent to begin with)<br><br>
Lansinoh is good too though!<br><br>
mamasfavorites (<a href="http://www.mamasfavorites.com" target="_blank">www.mamasfavorites.com</a>) makes a very nice butt cream and you can order a sample too to make sure you like it first! I have a big container of it and it is well worth the $$ We only get rashes during teething when they poop a billion times a day but this stuff clears it up asap. Works good on adult stuffs too like dry elbows.

Audrey gets terrible rashes when she is teething. One was actually bleeding and I took her to the Ped. Her recommendation was liquid antacid. Crazy, but it works. I just use the generic kind and its made a huge difference with the "acidic poo" problem. I put that on let it dry, and a small shot of cornstarch powder and A's bum hasn't been rashy in awhile.

Ohhh I had read about the ant-acid thing (so, like liquid malox right?) There are some rash cream recipes online that call for that. I was curious how that worked.<br><br>
Course I have enough rash cream to last the next 12 kids. I seem to be lucky with the rashes or lack there of. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/thumb.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="thumbs up"> Just during teething.

Wha? No one's said Weleda stuff yet? <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile"><br><br>
I like the Weleda Calendua cream for protection or for fun, and Weleda diaper-care w/ zinc oxide for acutal treatment of rash.
