I'm not sure if I will get any replies for this but I wanted to give it a shot. I really want to learn to knit. Actually, I already know how to knit scarfs, blankets, etc. but I am expecting my first baby and would love to make some clothes for him. I don't really know anyone that knows how to and I would like to not have to pay a fortune to take lessons but I would be willing to babysit in exchange, clean your house or barter a service in exchange to learn how. I am located in the NW twin cities metro so it would be preferable to find someone out that way but I would be willing to travel a little ways if needed. Please let me know if you are interested.

Just to let you know- Parenting Oasis has lots of insane knitting mommas, especially on Wednesdays so if you want to come in and get some help, it can be pretty easy. I know we aren't very close but hey- what if you can get the help for free? Come on in.

Yes, find a knitting circle (go to yahoo groups and look up "TC Knit")! There are always people willing to help each other. Also, I just go into yarn stores and ask questions.
