We had another level 2 ultrasound on Monday (33W 6D) and they determined that the baby isn't growing well. 3 Weeks ago they measured the baby in the 35th percentile for size and at about 3 1/2 lbs. On Monday, the baby measured in the 28th percentile and at 4 pounds. The docs are not impressed at how skinny the baby and want us to come back weekly for fetal growth checks. The also determined that the aminotic fluid is getting low.

After that apt I had a regular OB apt where my blood pressure was 142/90 (or something like that), so I was admitted to the hospital for fetal monitoring, blood pressure monitoring, and 24 hour urine collection. Everything looks good except the blood pressure. The finally sent me home tonight on bedrest and I'm supposed to go into the OB office twice/week now for monitoring.

They are talking about inducing labor early if the baby isn't thriving and my blood pressure stays elevated. I'm only 34 weeks today. Keep us in your prayers and keep the baby happy and cozy in there till at least 37 weeks!

I'm not in your ddc, but I wanted to give you a . That sounds pretty stressful. FWIW, my two were 4 pounds 1 ounce at birth at 33 weeks, and 5 pounds 4 ounces at birth at 36 weeks. Both are fine, healthy, happy kids. The 36 weeker is actually on the average to large side now, and the 33 weeker is still petite, she just takes after her mama.
