Since I am in the process of getting rid of the CLUTTER, I want to reward myself when I am done by *finally* buying us some new bedding. We've been using an old quilt that it starting to fall apart. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile"><br><br>
I've been looking on ebay and like some of these toile quilts. I like that they are "county" enough for me, but not a frilly pink quilt that DH will hate. I've been thinking about the black & white pattern.<br><br>
We have a typical bedroom set - pine with a maple-like stain (almost a honey oak color) - headboard, nightstand, chest and dresser w/ mirror. There are 3 doors to the room - main door, bathroom and closet - all are white. There is a double window and lots of light.<br><br>
So it's not an overly tiny room, but it's not huge either. We have a Master Bathroom attached to the room - the fixtures are off-white and it's tiny with no windows.<br><br>
Ideas for wall colors for the bedroom and bath? If I go with black toile bedding, what color sheets? What kind of shower curtain would go with the toile - I don't think I want to over-do it and use it in both rooms. Ideas for window treatments? All on a budget? LOL

black/white toile goes nicely with solids: red, baby pink, baby blue, teal

I love black and white toile. I also like the red and yellow toile,like <a href="http://www.judd-home-decor.com/images/Children%20Swing%20Toile%20Red%20on%20Yellow.jpg" target="_blank">this</a><br><br>
Gingham looks very nice with toile. And ticking stripes. So if you were doing a black and white toile,maybe black and white gingham? or stripes like <a href="http://www.judd-home-decor.com/images/mini-Black%20and%20Cream%20Ticking.jpg" target="_blank">this</a>?<br><br>
For wall color,I think a nice yellow would look so pretty w/the black and white toile.

I would LOVE a pale butter yellow, but DH insists he hates yellows - and then goes on to say he doesn't care what I pick. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/img/vbsmilies/smilies/dizzy.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Dizzy">:<br><br>
I love blue, but blue doesn't go with the other rooms in my house (although the kids' room is BLUE,but it is almost a cartoon blue) - so I am considering a sage green color and incorporating yellow in the linens. and black accent pieces - like photo frames and such.<br><br>
I can't wait to get the bedding in the mail now!!!!!!

Wow! Awesome deal you got there! Yeah,even with shipping,still a deal. I know,picking paint colors is very frustrating. Hopefully dh will cave on the yellow,cause that would look very nice.
