I'm pretty new to CDing (well come to think of it I'm new to this whole mothering business) and while I'm not completely sucked in to the fancy stuff yet (trying to resist), as DS approaches the next size up I do feel I'm ready to move beyond my basic CPF/Prorap stash. Specifically, I'd like to get some covers that would be as functional as Proraps, but softer/cuter/nicer. I've looked at fleece and wool a bit. I think I'm more inclined toward fleece, since I can machine wash it. It doesn't have to be top-of-the-line, to-die-for exquisite---just middle of the road, nice enough, and cute enough. I realize I'll be paying more than I did for my trusty Prorap seconds, but I'm not keen on spending a fortune.

Suggestions?

Oh yeah...and if you have a recommendation, can you please spell out the whole name and tell me where to buy it?

Thanks!

Here's a good website to buy covers from that has free shipping for all covers: Nicki's Diapers

If you want fleece, you could try a polar bummi. The Imse Vimse Bumpy Day and Night Covers aren't fleece or wool, but they are nice and have some cute prints.

stacinators are wool, but washable. I think I found some at greenmountaindiapers.com before

We use Stacinator fleece covers occassionally. They can be a bit pricey, but they are cute and functional. They can also be a bit bulky, but that could just be because I'm used to fuzzi bunz!

I have found some really good deals on eBay.

Rock a Buy Baby
Zannadu

I would suggest Cuddlefleece for a one-size fleece cover (which would save a bit of money). Also, www.thecalicobaby.com makes good fleece covers. I also like Polar Bummis. Stacinator Deluxe fleece are great for overnight.

Sugarpeas make both a wool cover (either made of wool jersey or wool flannel... they're very similar) and a fleece cover. They're both side snapping covers. I've seen them all of them (I have a bricks and mortar diaper store... lucky me!) and know people who use and like the wool ones. I have not tried them myself but they're readily available and come in nice colours.

I live in Canada and can only give you Canadian suppliers and you'd be better off doing a google search or watching the banners at the top of the MDC pages... Sugarpeas advertise there.

Well, thanks everyone! I just placed my order---one Bumpy Day, one Bumpy Soft, and one Cuddlefleece (I like that it's one size; hopefully it will last me a good long time).

I appreciate your help.
