The more we weigh our options the more were thinking of going with these after the newborn stage. (with some bumgenius and plain prefolds in the mix) for those that have these a few questions.
1) The decription (terry) says they come with a trifold soaker anyone thin these could work folded down in a newborn cover like a prefold?
2) I've heard to get soakers for extra assorbancy will I want this with each diaper? Like were leaning towards getting a dozen of these do I need 12 soakers? or just some say for naps or nighttime? (we change when wet or ASAP).

Unless Faith has changed her dipes, the soaker is sewn inside the diaper and the trifold soakers she has on her site are sold seperately. She has trifold soakers and doublers (hemp or bamboo)....the soakers are thicker and a tad larger and are recommended to be used in her pocket dipes but I have used them inside her fitteds before at night....I would say her soakers could be used on a newborn inside a cover, but I don't think the doublers could be used that way...they aren't big enough or enough layers. Plus, you can buy prefolds cheaper than her soakers/doublers or you could purchase the material and make them yourself for less.

I just looked at her site and it says that the diapers are terry knit inside and out and that a triple layer cotton soaker completes the diaper....that means that there are 3 layers of cotton inside the diaper in between the terry inner and outer.

I can't really tell if that means an inner soaker or a seperate I'll Email her and ask for clarity as some of the decriptions say internal soakers others don't. though I think you are right. The reason I asked about the soakers was I'm thinking of adding them to my order anyways jsut seeing if I can get extra use from them.

I'm pretty sure that's inside the dipey unless she's changed from inner soakers to a snap on or lay in?.....I ordered a ton of the terry ones when I first started CDing (although, I don't use them now....just the bamboo ones) but they were my faves at the time! You can definitely use those soakers she sells for other things though....big doublers, pocket dipe inserts and I bet you could lay them in a cover for a newborn as well.

I emailed Faith just to make sure However I came across an Ebay description of them and that deffiently said internal soaker so thats what I figure. So if thats the case I'm leaning towards a dozen terry with a dozen bamboo soakers think that will bea good combination?
