Hi everyone!

I was out of town since Friday...so I guess MDC was down this weekend, eh?

I woke up this morning and my belly is like double size than it was yesterday. I really look pregnant today.

I had my mw appt on Tuesday and all is well. Baby was too active to get a heartrate on- but we felt "him" kicking and moving around in there like crazy. My bp and urine are all good. I measured right at 20 weeks- perfect.

I'm getting kicks up high too- like near the rib cage. MW says it's referral pressure from the baby kicking the top of the uterus.

That's it! Just thought I'd say a hello. Can't wait for our bead swap! What fun. I also think I'll take belly pics this week for ya'll.

Take care,
Yes, for belly! Yes for good appointment!

Something in you post got my attention: when you said that the baby was too actve to get a heart rate - what do you mean? I have doppler at home and once in a while I check heart rate just to make sure it is still there. On a few occasions it was so distant and I would lose it every few second and have to move the probe. Once the probe is moved I have it agan for a few sec. Is it what you mean that the baby was moving? Or something else?

I don't know about her, but at my last appointment, the baby was everywhere! We would catch the heartbeat, the baby would kick the doppler and literally "run off". It took probably a good 5 minutes of doing this before my midwife could get a long enough reading to calculate the heartbeat.

About the doppler and the heartrate-
I don't know too much about dopplers, etc. The handheld part was registering 150-200 constantly going up and down, but we didn't hear any actual heartbeat (we did hear if from the placenta at 155bpm the mw said, which is just as good since the placenta couldn't have a beat without the baby's heart). Everytime we'd hear it for a brief second, baby would scatter to another side of my uterus and we'd lose it. We heard the "squak" sounds of baby moving inside me. And we felt kicks and movements. But no actual hb. Not too worried since my 16 wk appt revealed a solid and steady beat of 150bpm.

I think I remember something similar with dd around 20 wks as well. But it was the day of the u/s and it was quickly confirmed by u/s that her heart was just fine.

I appear to be popping this week, too. I have a lot of those "stretchy" pains in my whole abdomen and my DH mentioned that I look more pregnant now.

Happy to hear that you had a good appointment.
