It's about time that I do a bit more of an organized talk with my children (10 year old DS and 7 year old DD, separately) about their growing bodies. I'd also love to have the books on hand, so they can look at them whenever they would like to.

I did a quick search at Barnes & Noble and got this list:
http://books.barnesandnoble.com/sear...px?WRD=puberty

Which book(s) should I get? I don't mind getting two books for each child if different books have different strengths.

What do you recommend?

Ahhh, THAT'S the book I was thinking of, but couldn't recall and couldn't find on any of the various searches I did. I think that book sounds very good. She isn't on the verge of puberty yet (hopefully, crossing fingers, knock on wood) but I think that she isn't quite fully ready for the entire discussion at this moment, either. It can probably wait a few months, at least.

Thank you!

I was about to respond with the same answer. My dd (8yo) saw a copy of the American Girl book at a thrift store awhile back, and has really enjoyed reading it.

It's So Amazing: A Book about Eggs, Sperm, Birth, Babies, and Families by Robie Harris and Michael Emberly is...well, pretty amazing. I got it for my ds when he was 5 and he really liked it. Still does. Lots of descriptive reviews for it on Amazon.
