I just wanted to share the sweetest thing my husband has done for me this pregnancy (and perhaps even ever).... I just had a bunch of fresh flowers delivered to my office, and the man told me to expect a new bouquet every Monday morning for the next 20 weeks! He's a local gardener who loves flowers and does weekly deliveries. My husband is Dutch and never buys me flowers here (nor do I really want him to) because they're generally of much inferior quality and very expensive compared to what you can buy in Holland, but these are wonderful because they're fresh from a local garden. I love him even more than I did this morning for such a wonderful gesture <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/orngtongue.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Stick Out Tongue"><br><br>
What's the best thing your husband/partner has done for you this pregnancy?

Oh, that is so wonderful! I wish my dh would send me flowers.<br><br>
He does other sweet things, like this morning, he forced me to get out of bed. Normally, before we get up in the morning, we hit snooze several times and my dh cuddles up and hugs me. This morning, he was about to cuddle and said, "No, you have to get up." I know this doesn't sound sweet, but I can sleep and sleep and sleep, but I wanted to get up early and do yoga this morning. His bossiness made that possible. What a darling! <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol"><br><br>
All right, looking at that, I really want him to start doing some romantically sweet things.

Well, I'll tell you the greatest thing he ever did for me, which wasn't this pg, but is baby and birth related.<br><br>
Last birth, I had a very hard time, and a pph and intrauterine infection. At 3 days pp, I went back to the hospital where they wouldn't let the baby visit. I had a D&C and IV antibiotics for a week. That whole time, he was home alone with a 2 1/2 year old and a newborn baby. For months afterward, while I recovered, I never got up once with the baby as I needed to rest. He never complained about being tired. That experience really brought us closer.

Given my mood and the mood it puts over the whole house lately I think the nicest thing he has done for me is not leave. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/img/vbsmilies/smilies/duck.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Duck">:<br><br>
He cleaned up lots of vomit last week and even told me not to come look, it was all the vomit he could handle in one day. (My 8 yo apparently vomited off the side of her bed all night w/o telling anybody. When asked she replied with, "Well, did you want to clean it up at 2 in the morning?" <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/redface.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Embarrassment"><img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol"> Does that make her a [email protected] or just smart? )

Aww that is so sweet! My dh is just awesome. He cleaned the entire house from top to bottom this weekend while I sat on the couch feeling horrible. My sister is coming and I absolutely didn't have the energy to deal with it. He cleaned everything including the guest room, made dinner and even made chocolate eclairs after dinner. I couldn't have any because I was so nauseous but the kids LOVED them. He has been absolutely amazing this pregnancy (gets better every time) and I just adore him. He is even reading Unconditional Parenting. I am so grateful for him every day!<br>
