I saw some pretty inexpensive jersey knit organic fabric somewhere, can't remember now, and it said it would be good for diapers, but it seems like that would be too stretchy/not very durable judging by the jersey knit sheets that we have... what's your experience?

What organic fabrics/hemps would you recommend for making fitted diapers?

Also, I much prefer snaps to Aplix or Touch Tape, but am wondering whether the investment in a snap press is worth it. Any recommendations for specific snap presses? Any place you could go to have snaps added to your finished diaper?

Thanks!

I've never used cotton jersey knit, but I have used hemp jersey and wool jersey. IME hemp jersey seems a bit thin for diapers, while wool jersey, once felted, makes wonderful covers. But that isn't very helpful to you, is it? Maybe someone else here has experience with cotton jersey.

As far as purchasing a snap press goes, how much would you use it? If you're going to be making a lot of dipes & covers, or if you will be using it to make children's clothing (snaps are much more practical than buttons IMO), then I'd say invest in one. If you don't use it often enough to justify its purchase, you can always sell it, most likely for what you paid for it (they're really in demand). You can buy a good snap press and dies and snaps to fit it at the One Stop Diaper Shop.

As far as snap services are concerned, I believe there are links to places that offer to place snaps for you in the "diaper making resources" sticky in this forum.

Have fun!
