I am looking for a better solution for our nighttime diapering for ds who is almost one year old. He is very sensitive to being wet (understandably!) but this means that with our current CDs (Mother-Ease One Size) I have to change him several times per night. I have tried a few different liners (fleece and stay-dry) but the waistband is never covered by the liner, so that feels wet, and that bothers him. We have actually been using sposies : on him at night so that I only need to change him once around 3 am but I am feeling super guilty about doing this and swore that I am not going to buy any more after this current package is finished.

Help! Any recommendations for something that will help him feel dry? I am certainly willing to change once or twice in the night, so it doesn't have to be super super absorbent, but must feel dry.

Thanks!!

anyone?

I found a local company who sells Fuzzi Bunz, Happy Heinys, bumGenius, Baby Kangas, Mommy's Touch, and Mother Eve diapers. And the moms who run the company offer in-home consultations so you can try out the diapers to see which ones you like & what size is best.

So, I guess we will probably go that route... they all look pretty good aside from being pretty expensive! Does anyone have any feedback on these brands for nighttime?

Thanks!

I like HH pockets (solid colors) at night w/ 2 inserts. The inner lining (not sure what that is exactly) makes them feel very dry right up until they are leaking.

My baby is just over a year as well...I use a pocket dipe at night with two inserts as well. I made my own and they all have microfleece on the inside and I can hardly tell if the inside is wet when the inserts can be totally soaked! I have found (with the help of a friend) that the best insert to really absorb more at night or for outings are these microfiber towels that I got at Costco- they were super inexpensive too(24 for $10) and they absorb so much and are the perfect size (16X16). I use a CPF and one of those and they are working out great! Good luck! I know how trying it can be til you find the right method for your own baby!

until you find the right solution.. one way to continue trying to use your own stash is to get some fleece from joannes fabrics and cut yourself the right shape to totally cover the offending "wet" and the fleece is ok to stick out the top/sides whatever... this can be a pita but may help you while you find a better solution for even better fleece, you can buy some malden mills fleece (just better quality) and do the same thing

We have used fb at night with good results My second ds could un do aplix at a yound age so bgs didnt work for us If you are worried about price, and not liking the dipe you can usually find fb on the trading post for about $9-13 ppd depending on the codition.

I use both Fuzzi Bunz and solid-colored Happy Heinys at night, both stuffed with two hemp stuffers. Works great.

We use Very Baby Simply Nights for my heavy-wetting super soaking toddler. They are lined with microfleece for a dry feel, plus they're super absorbent without being excessively bulky.
