We got a great, Japanese style platform bed from Cotton Cloud Futons. They have natural cotton and wool mattresses as well as organic cotton and latex matresses. They don't use and preservatives, flame retardant, PDBE's, etc in any of their mattresses and they make them on sight. You can pick your mattress and choose its firmness, thickness, materials used, etc.

Believe it or not, it's cheaper than buying a regular, name brand bed!! We paid the most for the optional bamboo tatami mats we bought.

Without the tatami mats, the entire queen sized bed (all wood), mattress, drawers, headboard cost about $500.

If you go there, check out their catalogs because they don't have everything on the floor. We ordered our bed out of a catalog they had because they didn't have it on the floor at the time (as soon as they set it up on the floor, it sells).
