It really depends on you and your baby. As for the best made, I would have to say Kozy, Freehand and Babyhawk are the best made MT's on the market. Kozy is a large bodied carrier with lightly padded shoulder straps and a fold down headrest. It is made of heavy materials (canvas for the body and straps, the fashion fabric maybe canvas, cordoruy or sateen) and I have heard people claim that it is a bit stiff at first. I have only ever had preloved Kozy's so mine came well broken in and softer. I always feel comfortable in my Kozy, and ds loves to doze in it. Freehand is typically made of twill, a slightly lighter weight fabric with more fashion fabric options. It is a smaller bodied MT and very comfrotable in my opinion. The shoulder straps are just a little cushier than a Kozy. Ds likes the small body for watching the world, especailly when he is awake and we are going to be out. I also loved it when he was a nb as it didn't swallow him like a Kozy would. The draw back is no headrest so he can't sleep very comfortably in it, but i never have a hard time getting a good tie with it which is very important for comfort. ANd he likes that he can have his arms out. I do not own a Babyhawk, but i have one of the new ones with the fold down headsupport on the way. From what I understand it is also a smaller bodied carrier (unless you get the XT version) and with the new headrest you have the option of making it more comfy for a sleeping babe. Everyone I have talked to loves their baby hawk.
So as you can see it really does depend on what you and your babe are looking for in a carrier as to which would work best. THough I don't think you could go wrong with a kozy, freehand or babyhawk. They are all such nice carriers. The kozy will probably last the longest because of the fabric it is made from, but the freehands and babyhawks have some prettier options. Goodluck, I hope you find just the right carrier for you and your babe.
