Back when I considered using CDs, I had though about going the prefold/snappi/cover route, but was discouraged from doing so because of the "tough learning curve". I accepted that and when the os fitted route.

BUT, now that I have a few cpfs and a snappi I'm kicking myself! It's really quite simple/easy and I could have done it for less than 1/3 of what I spent!!

SO...I want to know, where is the best place to get organic cotton and/or hemp prefolds (do they make hemp prefolds?)? Along the same lines...the cheapest place? I'd be looking for the premium size cpf, but would also be open to ipf.

My favorite hemp prefolds are from Babykicks. Hemp Babies Big weeds are also about the same size as a premium prefold and very soft. For organic cotton, Under the Nile's are supersoft and stretchy, though on the small side for a premium. Tiny Birds colorgrown organic cotton prefolds are also beautiful.

diaperware.com has a lot of good options. I was intimidated by prefolds as well, but figured way back when there wasn't an option so it couldn't be that bad.

I'll tell you the first 3 days were mostly trial and errror

: and I considered sticking with just pockets but by the 4th day I found my groove.

There's something very satisfying about having a baby in prefolds.

If you didnt buy yet STOP.. Get Thristies hemp prefold seconds from cottonbabybottoms.com they are 3.25 each and you can barely notice a diffrence in the matterial, they are so wonderful and strechy.

So the seconds at $3.25 each is probably the cheapest you can go for Hemp/Organic Cotton? Not complaining, just wondering...
