Hi mamas!

My dh and I (and ds!) are moving to WA from NorCal and are trying to rent sight unseen - a 3 bdrm pt that is within 30 minutes of real time commute to Auburn/Federal Way, WA. Anyone have any suggestions? SOmeone said that these areas can be ghetto (using their term, not mine) and they said crime can be a problem etc etc. I know not all places are perfect, but anyone have any recommendatons? People mentioned Renton?

Thanks!

Auburn, Renton and Federal Way are all a mix of high-end and "ghetto". Kent is more midline I think, although we lived in Auburn near Green River CC in nice area, affordable apts. But Auburn is less ghetto and more hidden poverty. If you like country living there's the Black Diamond area. My friends just got a great deal on a large older apt in Renton, I can ask them the name.

I would agree with Renton as a good suggestion. It's dicey around that area if you are trying to avoid crime. When I lived in Federal Way, I lived in the Dash Point area of Fed Way, which I could recommend as beautiful, but it's pretty population-dense as well.

Thanks mama! My dh is looking at one place near Kent Station that is nice, but he is also looking at Renton, so it would be great if you knew where your friends lived!

Thanks again!

Hi mama! We did look at apts at Dash Point, but there were'nt any 3 bdrms , so maybe you knew of some other apts? I am pretty sure the place was actually called The Park at Dashpoint?

Any other areas or specific apt complexes you would recommend?

Thanks!
