I had my MW appointment yesterday so I made sure to wear my best pair of undies. My underwear is in sorry shape but I thought my "nice" underwear was up to snuff. She pointed out the irritation on my bump from the elastic and recommended going for something with a cotton waistband. How embarrassing to have your MW comment on the sad condition of your underpants! So I went out today and got these fold over panties from Motherhood. I just got one package to see how I like them. I think I am in love! Best underwear I have ever worn. I can't even tell I am wearing panties. And if I end up with another c/s, there is no elastic band to irritate the incision.

That's really funny. I swear by motherhood thongs, myself, but I love their underwear. I think I kept wearing mine for like a year PP last time!

i had JUST gotten out of mine for seriously...3-4 weeks when I got preg again...LOL. But from wearing them throughout the pregnancy, then like 9 months PP, i had worn them out. I still have them all, but did splurge on a new pkg with birthday money from my mom. ahhh...new undies

Thanks for the suggestion! I just noticed the other day that one pair of my underwear was getting snug on the rear. Do these fit pretty true to size? I'm usually a large (12-14) in most things. Should I get a M or L? The one review on the website said the XL were huge on a mama who usually wore an XL so that makes me wonder.

Speaking of motherhood....last time I was in the store...they asked for my address and i declined....she looked at me like I was crazy...she said " DOnt you want $400 of free stuff?" Uhhhh No I dont....we breastfeed, cloth diaper and homebirth......I dont need samples of anything....she says "well you could donate it all to someone else"...uhhhhh no...because I wouldnt want to encourage formula feeding. She was shell shocked.....that I didnt want anything free.

Glad I am not the only one who has the maternity underwear love. I did not have them with DS and never really even considered buying any. This time we are in a better position financially so I can indulge in things like this and I love it! Also, I figured out why you would want to buy a tshirt from them. They are cut so much longer! I bought two long sleeve shirts and I am so pleased with how long they are. I am discovering the joys of nice maternity clothes for the first time!

On sizing, with the panties, if you have a big, round, out there booty then you will be ok with buying your reg size. If not, go one size down. I have a big padonkadonk and so the fold over undies are great, I have them up in the back and folded down in the front and I have full booty cleavage coverage. FTR I am a size 12-14 everywhere but my butt. I bought the L panties and I can see that if I had a smaller bum then I would probably be OK with a M.

LOL! I did give her my information because I am looking forward to donating all those formula and diaper samples to our local food bank. For better or worse, a lot of these low-income working moms ff at least part time and I know formula and diapers are a huge need that our food bank has a hard time meeting.

Hmm, I will have to check those out. The price is very appealing. Do they have elastic around the band though? That was the big thing that was bothering my belly and I imagine low rise panties would be riding on my scar.

I don't know how low your scar is, but these are super low. Like so low they don't lose their shape. I wore mine as part of the regular rotation long after DS2 was born!

My scar is right above my pelvic bone. I've looked at the site and it looks like the elastic would still be a problem. I am very fair and my skin seems to be extra sensitive right now. Too bad since they are having a deal, buy two 3-packs and get them for $8 each. Not a bad deal for someone who was interested. I like the look of their long sleeve henleys too.

I posted in another thread about a 30% off coupon for gap/old navy. you can search gap give and get and find it or I think if you want to pm me your email I can send you an invite for it. When I posted a link it didn't work. You get 30% off gap, old navy, banana republic (online or instore) and 5% is donated to a non profit (they have a few to choose from, i think, unless someone invites you then you have to do what they pick) Only good til Sunday 11/14. I love the old navy tshirts and will be stocking up this weekend.

FWIW- I am a12 non pregnant. bigger on the bottom but tend to gain pretty quickly when pregnant (esp in the butt). I am a solid large in all the motherhood stuff. I got the hipster undies and large fits fine. room to grow but not too big now.
