I am fairly new to bw and wanted to ask what are the best ways to wear a 6mo old? I have a maya wrap (ring sling) and could never get the hang of wearing ds when he was new. It just didn't feel right. But now that he is older the best way so far I have found to wear him is on my hip in the sling. What are some other good ways? I am also open to buying another type of carrier/ wrap whatchamacalit. Any suggestions.
sorry i'm rambling

When my DD was around six months, I started wearing her more on my back. I found at that age, she felt like dead weight on my hip and need a 2 shoulder carrier since my shoulder and back ached (its funny how things change, now that she is a toddler, I find a hip carry much more comfortable)

I found learning to do a back carry was easiest with a mei tai. Some people prefer a carrier with buckles like an Ergo or Beco.

You can also try a woven wrap. Those are super comfy but has more of a learning curve than a mei tai IMO.

You can also use a wrap or mei tai to wear your baby in a vertical hold tummy2tummy using a wrap or mei tai.

Using your Maya, you can do a vertical hold as well and maybe a kangaroo facing out carry (my dd could do it at 6 mths but she's always been tiny )
