Hi, mommy experts! I'm planning ahead for a newborn in the summer and would like to have a secure, comfortable wrap or sling to use outdoors--lots of bending and digging-- in sometimes very hot weather. I understand sling styles can be a bit uncomfortable with lots of movement, and the body-wrap style can be hot. Anyone got some proven and tried wrap ideas for this? I already have a maya on the way for wandering around gently-like.

I did a ton of yardwork with dd on my back in a didymos when she was a few months old. I imagine any similar style wrap (lightweave material) would be good, though I am not the expert some Mamas here are <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile">

ahhh, you guys are wonderful. I finally have a starting point. With so many wraps to choose from and how expensive they are, I didn't want to do too much "test-driving". Thank you!
