So I know how we all like to sit on our exercise balls, and I loved to sit on mine up until a day ago, that is until it decided to explode while I was sitting on it! I have no idea how it could have exploded, but it seriously split in half and down I went right on my bum. I really didn't think that was possible, but watch out if you bought your's from target.

OH NO!! Glad you're okay!
I'm sitting on mine right now, aaaack! It's the only seat that keeps me from getting all stiff!

I can't go without it so I'm going to buy a better one today, it really helps with sciatic nerve pain. When it happened I didn't know whether to laugh or cry, luckily I landed on carpet and only bruised my tailbone a little.

Just and FYI.....here in Dallas they ran a story on the news last week about a guy at a local gym where the exercise ball popped on him. He was doing free weights while reclining on the ball and it popped and he ended up breaking both arms. :

They....the gym....commented that they have had problems with the more inexpensive balls popping and that they throwing them away in favor of the more expensive ones. Yikes!!

Just an FYI Be careful mammas!!

Not in your ddc, but try to find a burst resistant ball. Instead of exploding, they SHOULD stop themselves from tearing so fast so it deflates slowly. Hope that helps This has always been a weird fear of mine, lol

Oh my! I have two cheapies and I use them on a hardwood floor.

I hope my white one doesn't burst leaving me with turquoise - it would look horrible in here and force me into another (possibly costly) purchase that dh would not understand.

I am glad you are okay.

I am so sorry that happened! You are making me feel much better about forking out the money for a more expensive one. It has lasted so well. It actually does say burst resistant on it. I bounced my last baby to sleep at least twice a day for over 9 months on it and it has been a trooper. I've been using the same cheap one from gagmart 3+ times a day to bounce DS to sleep for the last 17 months... plus all the pregnancy bouncing before he was born.... probably time to invest in a new one.

That's pretty scary and sounds painful too!:
