Hello all,<br><br>
I am a newbie to this great community. Can someone point my in a direction to chat with others with this issue? My son is 12 months and has multiple food allergies. Alot of the time I am worried that we aren't getting the proper nutrician b/c we stay away from so much. I am still trying to figure out all these acromyns so sorry to write it all out! <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile"><br><br>

Welcome to the boards. I would suggest trying the health and healing board, specificallly the section on allergies. You might also consult breastfeeding beyond infancy. I found some great info. there on the nutrition of breastmilk. Another site (off of MDC-mothering.com) that many people reference is kellymom.com. That might at least give you a starting point to work from. I'm sure there are many more experienced moms in those threads that can offer better advice.<br>

HI - welcome to the boards! Ed-tricia has pointed you in the right direction for the info you are looking for. I also was breastfeeding my daughter when she had multiple allergies (these manifested as horrible eczema from about 2-3 months old).<br><br>
I finally gave in and did the SCD (Specific Carbohydrate Diet) and that did the trick for her - her skin cleared up and she is almost eczema free now at 19 months (she gets the occasional dry patch that clears up with regular moisturiser).<br><br>
I did the SCD myself without dairy or eggs...just in case those are triggers for your son and you don't want to introduce those into your own diet.<br><br>
Hang in there - this is such a hard one. I hope you find the support and information you need...these are great boards for both of those!
