Hey there.

For the past few days I've been having some cramping on the top of my stomach and also period like cramps on my lower belly. Also I've been experiencing lower back pain and my system has been cleaning out. Last week I began to drop, if that matters.

I agree with the PP.
One more thing, make sure you're drinking ALOT of water (and emptying your bladder properly
).
I've found that dehydration and/or waiting too long to go pee can cause some pretty hefty BH contrax.

If you ever have crampiness that has any regularity to it, drink 2 8-oz glasses of water, then lay down or take a bath for 20 minutes. If it continues to get worse, THEN call - otherwise it's just the normal stuff. Prodromal labour can last weeks prior to birth, you get used to it.

Going without eating can cause BH, too, from what I've read.

But man can those BH ever have you fooled!!! Every day they start to get crampy with me at about 4:00 and keep going until I fall to sleep......

After I realized that it was happening everyday I stopped worrying. My last 2 babies were like this too, started at 34 wks and just got stronger until finally I hit the "real thing". Its enought to drive any women crazy i swear!! But just remeber that your body is getting ready for a major work out, it needs to prepare and it can get uncomfy. If your worried CALL your midwife/ob/doc, they'll be more then happy to reasure you and would rather know if your actually in labor!!! then not!! Kepp your self well rested, drink lots and above all.....LISTEN TO YOUR BODY!!! When it says slow down then do....housework can wait....it always does!
