I can't manage to remember 3/4 of the time to start a weekly chat thread - so I'm making this one to cover a two week period

I saw yesterday that the first couple June DDC babies have made their arrival - how exciting is that? We are getting so close now!

My belly has outgrown 2 of the shirts I have been wearing to work - I'm beginning to think I'll have to do another round of shopping in order to finish out the last couple months of work. Speaking of work (or not working...) it looks like I will have enough vacation time/savings to actually take my entire 12 week maternity leave instead of the 8 weeks I originally thought possible.

So ladies...
1 - What projects have you finished recently?
2 - Which projects seem impossible to finish in time?
3 - And most of all - How are you feeling?

For me...
1 - got the shelf that my father-in-law made installed, moved all the books out of the baby's closet and onto shelves DH and I made in the office closet.

2 - getting the house clean enough for pre/post-baby company.

3 - uncomfortable and tired! I barely made it through groceries today, the little one (and I use the word little loosely) was right up in my ribs and I couldn't breathe.

Taylah - It's awesome that you remember to start these at all! My pregnancy brain is starting to REALLY get me! I completely, and totally, spaced an appointment last week .. and I never ever do that. I didn't remember until days later.
-I, too, have had some sort of growth spurt and my stomach is popping out of the bottom of my shirts. SO NOT FLATTERING! (I have some red angry stretch marks!) Most of the time though I hardly care. But when my partner is out of town I wear his shirts. They are way longer! hehehe
-Also, awesome about your maternity leave! I feel so blessed that I will really be able to stay home.. I already cannot imagine having to go back to work. (Well, I work from home and do my own business so it is work but I don't have to leave..)

1.)As far as projects go.. I um.. made a list of freezer foods I want to do. And we started the garden but it has been freezing here in Oregon. It hailed just the other day so I am not confident enough to put anything else outside for another few weeks. I guess that means I should start some inside.
2.)We have a ton to do. We have some hand me down baby clothing and 2 bouncy seats (one for home, one for grandparents home so we don't have to lug it around.) .. but that is IT. I think that next month there should be a baby shower but it feels weird having nothing ready. I guess I would feel totally fine actually if I had some prefolds, a Moby, and a carseat. So my list is still tiny. (WELL, baby list. Mommy needs a few things I'm sure.)
3.)I feel.. It changes daily! My partner goes out of town for work for half the week (this started only a month ago..) and it is starting to make me batty. Knowing he's going to be home at night is such a comfort for me. I am in awe of all of you mommas that have even longer separations. I feel pretty ZEN right now though... And I have all of the usual aches and pains I imagine.. back, ribs, heartburn. Oh and seasonal allergies which are really keeping me inside. I need to figure out the whole exercising inside thing now..

1. Finally got my cloth diaper stash started and some of the prewashing done. Also scored a ton of covers to borrow from a neighbor

2. Getting everything done at work before the baby comes! Experiments are not going my way right now and it is frustrating to think how little is getting accomplished. That and my work motivation has totally tanked this last trimester.

3. On cold #2 in as many weeks. It seems we can't go one month in this house without a round of sickness, getting really really really fed up with that.

1 - What projects have you finished recently?
I have completed my newborn diaper stash as well as 2 dresses for the bean. I have also been in crazy nesting mode already--switched out the boys fall/winter clothes for spring/summer clothes and already put away nb-3 mth clothes in the dresser for the new bean.
2 - Which projects seem impossible to finish in time?
I have quite a few projects I want to complete. I have cut out 6 shorts sets each for the boys and am plugging away slowly at them--got neckbands and sleeves on the shirts, just got to serge and hem them and then get to work on the shorts. I have 6 one size diapers for the new bean cut out, plus plans on making quite a few more, as well as covers in sizes nb-md out of pul and wool as well.
3 - And most of all - How are you feeling?
This pregnancy is kicking my butt--much different than with the boys. I still have food aversions off and on--what turns me off changes on a regular basis. I have crazy heartburn/acid reflux--didn't get this until the end with the boys and they sat up high. This girl is low, but she is long. I am also still peeing all the time, and can't get enough sleep. I don't nap unless I am sick normally, but I want/need to take a nap daily now.

aww Taylah~ thanks for remembering!!
Done stuff/ up and coming etc
I finally got our chicken coop built!!! DH wasn't going to help~ no time and it's 'my thing' so my nephew came home from school for the semester and he came out and helped me build from my drawings . DH scored the roofing though for free and put that on so he helped afterall ...The biggers are 7 weeks now and out of the barn and into the coop just in time for our 2nd batch of day olds to move in .

I've gone through tubs of clothes and have been washing and puttiing back into tubs to use for this baby boy. Trying to figure what we need and keep my thoughts organized .

We are going to Disney midJune and have friends housesitting to take care of the animals for us. I HAVE GOT TO have the house perfect becuase the dauy after we return my oldest sister and her 2 teenage boys are rolling in from AL for a 2 week stay at our house, my other sisters and their teen/younger kids and my mom (all more local) will be staying for the majority of the time as well. It will be wonderful!!! We have parties and camping and beach trips planned, and a HUGE family reunion too!!
Now the house~~~~ AAAACKKKK! I have baskets of seasonal clothes waiting to be packed away, put away or passed on. Where's the hair pulling smile????!
# screen on the porch need to be eplaced after a terrible wind storm last week, both toilets clog daily and we need to replace at least 1 before the teenagers call this old house home for 2 weeks, otherwise they'll be using the woods .
I still need to finish the painting on the coop trim, trim the roofing, put the fence around the garden and get my lettuce in. The bedrooms need serious attention ~~ every 1. It is sooo overwhelming. But I work best under pressure, so...

How am I feeling?
Very uncomfortable for the firt time ever. I'm tall and fluffy and have plenty of space for baby and never understood the complaints as people got further in their pgs, I am usually comfortable until birthday and know I am VERY lucky, but this time he is already so high~ it feels like he's pushing into my sternum?! I have 10 weeks left!! Where will he go now ? Very crampy too, not contraction crampy though, more like the stitches you get from walking and running~ though they are random or when I'm walking quickly. whats' that about?!
Still not positive on his name~ though it feels right, dh isn't compleytely hooked, though that doesn't break the deal . No middle name either. The heartburn is atrocious, constant no matter what and makes me nauseous. It almost seems like reflux. My eyes are faaar bigger than my appetite and nothing seems to be yummy right now. Even water gives me heartburn. I pee myself daily... but it's all ok.
I*'m getting excited for the most part~ it's more real now, even though my placenta is still anterior he is crazy busy in there and wakes me at night .
I can't wait to meet him.

none really. I'm nearly finished making this little one's blankie, though.

2 - Which projects seem impossible to finish in time? .
the projects that don't actually have anything to do with dumplin'. haha

3 - And most of all - How are you feeling?
I'm actually feeling pretty good for the most part. I've been getting hot easily, and have had some lower back and pelvic discomfort, but nothing too bad. I'm hungrier than I was. I haven't been extra hungry this pregnancy but my appetite has picked up recently. I can feel dumplin' move a lot. I love the movement so far, because it hasn't been all up in my ribs like it was with my others. However sometimes it's down in my pelvis and I'm not sure I like that too much.

We cleaned off our front porch, went through all our baby stuff from DS and I have started washing the baby laundry- ie all his old clothes, the stuff I have gotten for baby girl, and done some yard sale shopping. We also set up the crib, we haven't side carred it yet, but it's in position, and got our room ready for a baby.

pretty good since I started taking iron pills I was so tired I couldn't see straight and they told me my iron was low, so now I can make it through the days most days. She's still really low, I think I am going to carry her in my cervix till she's born lol so I dont' feel her in my ribs yet- well at least not most of the time right now she's poking around up there...

1 - What projects have you finished recently? I finally went through the storage bin of newborn clothes from DSs 1&2. I am very sad to find that somehow many of the white & light colored shirts, onsies, & sleepers have strange orange stains on them. How do stains appear after sitting for 3 years?? So now I have several pairs of pants with no matching top!

2 - Which projects seem impossible to finish in time? That was about the only project I had so... I guess I am ready for baby, NOT!

3 - And most of all - How are you feeling? Exausted! I am also monitoring my blood sugars beacuse they have been slightly high & I am measuring 4+ weeks ahead, so I am feeling slightly deprived & have to eat really healthy. I am going to have some ice cream tonight though.

Mine did that too! I used to be cocky that my breastfed kids didn't stain their clothes, but apparently 4 years of sitting in a plastic bin brings out stains. Grr. I washed things and bleached some and that sort of worked, but a lot of those will be sold at a garage sale for super-cheap and I'm finding others' garage sale castoffs in better shape.

1 - What projects have you finished recently?

I sorted all the baby clothes up to 12 months and figured out what I need to get. Then my mom brought more garage sale finds over, so I have big piles of clothes everywhere. I'll deal with them eventually...

I finished sewing newborn fitted diapers.

The temp hit 90 here this week and I recently I desperately needed shorts and summer skirts. I tried on 10 pair of shorts at Target and eventually found some that will work and bought fabric to sew 2 skirts today.

2 - Which projects seem impossible to finish in time?

I really ought to sew a full stash of mediums before the baby comes because those newborns aren't going to fit for long. I have a variety of other sewing projects in mind that may or may not happen.

3 - And most of all - How are you feeling?

Mostly good. My hip goes weird on me if I walk too far, but it could be lots worse. I feel big and I'm tired a lot, but the third trimester hasn't walloped me too much (yet).

I'm feeling so blessed and excited. Today my mother-in-law asked if I would be OK with my husband's aunt possibly hosting a web cam baby shower for us with their family in Minnesota.

Today I washed, dried and folded 2 loads of 0-6 month clothes. They felt so sweet and tiny - I loved it! With the baby measuring big I'm wondering if I should even bother with the "Newborn" stuff - my husband held up one little nb onesie and said "I'm thinking he could wear this right now."

It's looking as if my brother, sister and niece may be coming for a 2+ week visit in late June/early July. I'm trying to get as many plans laid and prep done as I can now since I'm already short of breath, achy and tired, lol! I got the guest bathroom organized (but not scrubbed) and ordered an air mattress and an inflatable pool for the backyard. My niece has developmental delays so she can be a handful, and I want to have as many activities as possible for her so she is content and not causing a lot of ruckus at the house while my husband is working. I planned the menu for the visit already so I could have a bunch of "toss meat on the grill / throw a salad together" style dinners when we're not out eating. (we can eat outside most times as it's a lot more temperate here than in Louisiana and they'll enjoy that) I'm excited to see them, it's been a year since I was last home! But I'm also worried about how much I'll be up for activity/sightseeing wise. (it will be their first time in Portland/Vancouver and I want them to have a great time)

Now if my hips/pubic bone would stop hurting and I could get some good stretches of sleep - I'd be a seriously happy girl

Hooray!!!!!!!!!!! My partner felt the baby moving last night for the FIRST TIME! Anterior placenta has made it near impossible! My midwives can't get a heartbeat without the doppler (I wanted to just do fetoscope if it worked.) and can't really get a good feel for position of the baby just yet.

SCIATICA!!! I thought I might make it through this pregnancy without it but it hit last night. I had it SOOO bad with my other pregnancys from about 3 or 4 months on. I am thankful it waited until 6 1/2 months but gees it hurts so much. I can't help but laugh though sometimes I can walk just fine then suddenly I take the next step & my leg just buckles. I am hopeing it eases up on it's own today otherwise I will be visiting the chiropractor tomorrow.
