Our ds is almost 15 mo, and always sleeps in his own room now.

It is working great for him, so I am ok with it....finally. The only problem is that he is a large boy and flops around like a little fishy at night, banging off of the crib walls all night. Dh and I are discussing moving him to a little bed, hoping that will be more comfy for him...is it too early? Has anyone else done this at this age? Should we skip a toddler bed and go straight to a twin? I know a lot of you are lucky enough to have little co-sleepers still...just hoping someone would have some good advice. Thanks!

Ds sleeps in a toddler bed during the night and comes to us in the early am. He's a very wiggly sleeper, and occasionally falls out of bed, so I didn't want him in a high twin bed (as it is, if he does fall, it's only a matter of 5 inches or so, and it's getting less common). A mattress on the floor might be even better. He's actually been enjoying the toddler bed since about 7 mo. It gives him his own space, which he needed, but it's not too big to be scary.

We went right to a twin bed when DS was 16 months old. He flips around, squirms, tosses and turns, and would fall right out of a toddler bed.

We got a twin mattress and box spring, put it on a low frame that is about 7 inches off the floor. One side is against a wall, and we got a long bed rail for the other side. DS falls asleep in our bed, and we move him to his bed. He stays there for a few hours and wakes up wanting to come to our bed.

I wish DS would spend the night in his own bed
: I'm 15 weeks pregnant, and sharing the bed is getting hard
