DS1 (nearly 3yo) was EC'd from about 10wks, and has been a grad for over a year now. DS2 (9mo) has been EC'd since birth.

I'm able to offer the potty pretty consistently at home, but when I'm out alone with both kids it's nearly impossible to get DS1 to go into a public restroom to let the baby go potty. DS1 has never liked public restrooms and still will only rarely admit he has to pee if that's his only option.

I sometimes let DS2 use the BBLP in the car where I can keep DS1 contained for a bit - he loves to "drive" the car (with the keys safely in my pocket!) But if we're going to be inside somewhere for any length of time, there's almost no chance of getting to a potty.

Any others ECing a baby with a reluctant toddler in tow? Care to share tips or tricks?

Have you tried pottying your younger son into a wet bag? I put a dry (or 1-pee wet) prefold in a wet bag, hold the rim with my hands while holding my son "in position" and he'll pee right into the bag. I usually do this in the car, but if you can find a bench or some other spot, it could be done almost anywhere. Just have to try to find a place your older son will stay for a minute or two.... good luck with that.
