Hello, professionals. Just wanting to run this by you before I get too excited. I am expecting my third child in January and am in my 20th week. At week 16, I measured 19 weeks, according to my midwife. At week 19, I measured 23 weeks. The span is getting bigger (3 weeks ahead, now 4) and she has asked us to come in in two weeks to get measured again to see whether this exponential growth continues. Also, I gained 8 pounds in the last 4 weeks and, as a lactating vegan, we all feel this is pretty awesome!

My question is, are third-time mommies more prone to measuring large for dates? I know my dates are right. Or are we having twins? What are the possibilities and what is normal for the third time around? Nobody's too concerned, but I feel like I'm exceptionally large for this early in my pregnancy and am definitely wondering if I have TWO babies in there, not just one! Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!

your rate of growth/size could indicate several things, i am thinking you will be sent for a sonagram to find more information...not that sonagrams are the tellall but...they can be usefull sometimes ~
goodluck, keep us posted
