Last week I bought the cutest wool pants off ebay. Striped in dark colors. Great price too. Anyway, they had TONS of lanolin on it. DS wore them for the first time last night and of course had a massive explosion this morning. It was sooo gross and all that lanolin had stuck to his legs and let's just say - the combination was disgusting. It was everywhere and when I pulled the pants off him, THREE raisins hit the floor.

Very sick. I actually threw the CPF and doubler in the trash.

I've left the pants in a plastic sack because I seriously don't know what to do. Can you say, procrastination? I'm totally new to the world of wool and am just so grossed out on hand washing these pants. I can't even tell where the poop is because the colors are really dark and brown.

Sorry so graphic. lol!

I'm kind of new to the world of wool too, but could you just wash them in a washing machine on a cold, gentle cycle by themself. I think that's what I would do.

Oh you poor thing!!!! Its okay. wow, I would never throw away a diaper over it. LOL Anyways, you could do a pre wash in cold water with the pants, to rinse all the poop off, and then I would take them out and do a hand wash with some nice smelling shampoo. I hand wash all my covers, and some of my other non wool covers as well. I've got twins. Almost potty trained, and I've done a lot of nasty dunking of diapers, and when its really bad, I just prewash like twice in the washer!! Good luck and don't throw those wool pants away!

I can sympathize. Ds has really been having some nasty watery poops lately that makeme want to retch. Last night was the first time he has gone since his surgery and he completely filled the diaper from front to back and even got some under the dermabond covering his incision. Luckily dh was home to help me out. Today he did it again while we were alone. I cleaned him up and just put his diaper in the toilet for a few hours.

Anyhow, I would put it all in the washing machine for a cold rinse. I think it will come out.
