Passed a blood clot today. Scared the you know what out of me. I have had some brown discharge, I know TMI, but not really worried about it to much. Put myself on "bed rest" and did not have any all day yesterday. Today I had much to do & went it did it. Came home a small blood clot. Freaked out! Called the MW & went in. HB is just fine, whew! She checked me, my cervix is closed & tight & hard in the inside. The outer layer is a bit soft. Could be normal since this is 3rd pregnancy or abnormal. She is leaving the rest up to me. I think I have decided to go back to bed, and lay low. If I spot again I will go to the ER. UGH! So stressfull! I want this little person to just stay in!!!
Anyway, I needed to vent & share. I hope you all do not mind. I guess no Xmas tamales @ my Uncles house 2nite. I will have people bring me home a plate.
Thanks Ladies.

Just a little reassurance, I had heavy bleeding and blood clots throughout my entire last pregnancy. We never knew what it was, turned out it was a fibroid causing it. Baby was born 8 weeks premature, but I've been told that that is VERY rare. He is a super happy, healthy 18 month old now.

Rest as much as you can, but try not to worry too much. If the hb is strong, I think he/she is safe and comfy

Thanks Ladies. I need all the reasurance I can get. Wende, I had a tumor removed in June 2003. I wonder if that has something to do with this, I had not thought about it like that. I am lying low this weekend. (Dh and the Kids are with his family as I write this.) I saw my midwife yesterday & that was reasuring, but still, I think I will call my OB on monday to see if we can get an ultra sound.
Thanks again ladies. You are the best.

I have been pretty good at the bed rest thing. Watching way to much tv & movies. No more spotting since yesterday am. My incision is really sore & I wonder if that has something to do with it. Any VBAC or VBAM moms here to provide some insight?? I am calling my OB in the am & see if he can see me. I would really like an ultrasound to check where my placenta is.
I will post an update tomorrow. Thanks ladies for you good vibes.

Still no spotting since xmas am. The doc was out until today. I will see him at 1:50pm. I really want to check the position of the placenta. I hope he orders a stat ultrasound. My scar still hurts at times, I wonder. I will post when I get back on what he says. Baby is moving just fine, whew!

Went to the OB today. HB nice & strong. My cervix is nice and firm & tight & long. (Last week the out os was soft, but now ok!) He said I can resume normal activity again, except (No Marital Relations, why can't they say, NO SEX!) Anyway, I have a scheduled ultrasound next week. He feels no need for a stat one since I am not actively bleeding. All is good again, & I am so glad!
Thank you for your good vibes, I truly appreciate it.

Hey Christa,

I'm glad you found some reassurance with checking with with your OB. RE: the tightness in your incision area, it may be adhesions from previous surgeries that are loosening/giving way to accomdate the expanding uterus. Hope your u/s goes well.
