I'm pregnant!!! So to keep this diaper related, what kind are the best to get for newborns? How do you get the meconium out of them? Are rice liners a good idea? How do you hold in breastfeeding explosions?? How many diapers should I get? I'm full of questions!

Woo Hoo! Congratulations!
I've only used cpf's on a newborn (we had a service at the time), but I will definitely be doing fitteds and wool soakers for the next one. I would go soft ... maybe some squishy organic cotton fleece or sherpa or velour ... I've heard that the meconium really isn't an issue - that it just washes out. (Although ds's poops have stained since like day one, so I'm used to stains in dipes!) How fun!!! How long do you have to shop and buy for the new little one (in other words, when's your due date)?

Congrats!!

I'm stocking up on at least 35 fitteds and hopefully 12 pockets. I know my last one made a mess every time I nursed.

The nanipoos is a great deal!! I really like the KHW dipes though. I need more!

Well, I've not yet had the pleasure of CDing a newborn (hopefully I'll get my chance sometime next year), so I can't help you there. I just wanted to say CONGRATS!!! and have a happy and healthy 9 months!!!

Well Congratulations!!! I can't really help on the diapering cause I haven't diapered a newborn. We didn't switch DS till he was 10 months and Emma was a preemie and so we didn't CD till she started fitting in size 1 sposies. (figured she wouldn't stay in N that long, and was wrong, it took 2 months!)
