Alright I feel better now. I remembered this site. This is interesting. You guess by looking at the belly (moms are all in labor I think) the weight of the baby.

karen, i've seen this site before. i loved it except for one thing. i seem to remember that every mom gives birth on her back. ill have to go check it out again when i get a chance.

The midwife says that it's cultural, not something he directs. Look for the fundal pressure while pushing, too.

I guess I noticed that but didn't? I look at that site every few weeks because they update it often.
What I find fascinating is how little pain those women seem to be in. Most of them are smiling!!!
I have to admit a male midwife seems bizarre to me, but I've heard of a few! Almost like Dr. Gordon being an LC but that actually is very cool to me.
Anyway, I'm supposed to be doing paperwork

I have always wondered if there could be a male midwife- I thought, well why not, but it is a mid WIFE and maybe part of it is that woman-to-woman thing?? So it is possible??
